Dr. Nolwazi Mkize is a distinguished entomologist and visionary leader with over two decades of experience spanning the private and public agricultural sectors.

As the current Head of Regulatory for the Africa Cluster at Bayer Crop Science, she leads a team of 20 specialists, driving regulatory strategy for vital agricultural products across the continent. Her career is marked by a deep commitment to scientific excellence and sustainable farming practices.

Key Experience & Expertise:

  • Ph.D. in Entomology
  • Extensive Pan-African Leadership: Manages regulatory affairs for seeds, traits, and crop protection products.
  • Proven Corporate Track Record: Held executive and senior roles at global corporations including Corteva Agriscience and BAYER.
  • Research & Policy Acumen: Served in senior roles at the South Africa Agricultural Research Council (ARC) and as a Technical Advisor at the South African Department of Agriculture.
  • Recognized Industry Voice: Featured in prominent publications, including a book showcasing leading women in science.
